Looking for a quick makeover without having to transform your home entirely? We select a few of our favorite new products from Marina Home to spruce up our space stylishly
We love a home makeover once in a while. Especially if it does not involve a complete transformation. Some new cushions, a coat of fresh paint in a lovely hue, new garden furniture, airy curtains in pastels, a bright throw, a stash of new corner accessories…these are some of our favourite hacks when it comes to giving our homes a new look without going overboard. One brand that has been giving us home décor goals is Marina Home. The furniture and lifestyle brand has something for just about every home. And their new collection includes home furniture and accessories that are perfect to give your space a new lease of life without going all out.
Add a pop of colour
A simple and fun way to refresh a room quickly is to add pops of colour. It could be a bright fresh coat of paint on one wall of a room or if you are daring enough, then on all the walls of a room. We are crushing on all shades of blue and would love to bring the rich colour into our spaces. A lovely vase, a corner chair, a plush single seater or even a lovely blue throw can add liven up a room.
Liven up the Corners
An oft-overlooked area in a home is the corner. Dress up the corners of a home and the difference is visible almost instantaneously. Adding a table with a showpiece in a corner is a fine way of sprucing up a room. Hanging up showpieces, be it small art pieces or fabric covered boxes, give a refined look to a living room.
If you have a patio or even a verandah that can accommodate a garden table and chairs, then definitely take a second look at the current décor style because nothing livens up a space like outdoor furniture. We might only get 4-5 months of cool weather that allow us to enjoy outdoors but it’s definitely worth having a lovely garden space to sit back and enjoy. While rattan furniture or wicker is preferred for garden furniture, wood creations are simply exquisite. We love a good lounge space in the garden or even the balcony that’s decked up with wooden furniture pieces.
Metallic accents add a neutral yet uplifting decorative accent to a room. Be it gold vases or burnished copper pots or even shiny lanterns, metallics can be a perfect add-on to just about any style of décor. The key here is to stick to minimalistic, simply because less is more.
