The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, arguably ‘the fastest and most powerful vehicle ever’ is now available in Oman with Dhofar Automotive.
The fastest and most powerful ever Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is now available in Oman with Dhofar Automotive, the official distributor of Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Ram vehicles in the Sultanate.
But what makes this the fastest and most power Jeep ever?
It is the first time in nearly 40 years that a V8 engine has been made available for the Wrangler. The 6.4L engine and its functional cover design were specifically modified for the Wrangler Rubicon 392, to deliver 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The engine delivers approximately 75 per cent of the Wrangler’s Rubicon 392’s maximum torque at just above rpm, which is critical for on-road and off-road performance. Mated to an 8-speed Torque flight automatic transmission with smooth-shifting and a Silicon-Trac permanent transfer case, this engine gives the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds and a quarter-mile crossover capability in just 13 seconds.
This transmission also allows the driver to engage with two new aluminium steering wheel paddles, the first time this feature has been used in a Wrangler, or with an electronic field-clutch, which produces a gear perfectly proportioned to the requirements of any type of driving.
The powertrain in the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 distributes power to all four wheels continuously. At the heart of the powertrain is a Selec-Trac transfer case with a gear ratio of 2.72:1 in the low field. The transfer case includes four modes for the driver to choose: 4WD Auto/4WD High/Neutral/4WD Low. Legendary off-road capabilities include Off-Road Plus, with sand and rock modes, Selec-Speed Control is offered in 4WD Low when traversing rough terrain without the need for the accelerator or the brakes.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392’s chassis features improved body rails, front upper control arms and cast steel steering knuckles to maximise the power and torque of the Wrangler Rubicon 392. Durable brakes provide controlled braking regardless of the terrain.
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 retains the original Wrangler styling theme with bold, functional detailing, a wide stance and the brand’s signature trapezoidal wheel arches. A two-inch lift adds to the vehicle’s attractiveness and presence. The Wrangler Rubicon 392 features bronze detailing to mark the most powerful Wrangler ever. The Rubicon name is featured in bronze on the bonnet, front, and rear tow hooks, and around the graphics on the Fox shock absorbers. Bronze also surrounds the Jeep logo and Trail Rated badge. The car gains better cool-air intake and water disposal thanks to a 40mm higher engine cover with an aggressive look taken from the Mohave’s gladiator Jeep and a functional bonnet hatch. The hood also bears the 392 logos on either side, referencing the larger engine capacity that was once introduced in the Jeep Wrangler, and the grille design provides better airflow and cooling to the V8 engine.
