Frank Ocean’s got a sea of talent and it just expanded to include an exquiste jewellery collection. Yes, you heard us right! The artist’s latest project is not a music album but his own jewellery brand called Homer.
Frank Ocean has not released any music for a while but that is only because he was busy preparing to dazzle us with his jewellery brand Homer.
If the brilliantly photographed (by Frank Ocean himself) catalogue is anything to go by, then this independent luxury brand, which adopts its name from the famous Greek poet himself, is the result of Frank Ocean’s odyssey of creativity. The 25 pieces in the first collection have been designed in New York and handmade in Italy. Prices range between £284 and an eye-watering £1.4m, and any diamonds used are grown in the brand’s own domestic laboratory.
Inspired by the singer’s “childhood obsessions” and “heritage as fantasy”, the collection features 25 stunning designs that include bracelets, pendants, scarves, and rings with prices ranging from approximately $250 to an astonishing $1.9 million. Designed in New York and handmade in Italy, the jewellery pieces use diamonds that are grown in Homer’s own laboratory. Bright colours and characters define and reflect childhood influences from Ocean’s life. You can also spot ode to retro-gaming throughout the collection, all crafted in 18K gold, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel.
The collection, is currently available only at the Homer Store in New York and if you visit the website, don’t be disappointed to see that everything is already out of stock. You might want to make the store your next must-visit destination when in NY. Designed in collaboration with New York-based architects Michael Abel and Nile Greenberg (ANY), the Homer store is a destination all packaged in from aluminium and urethane.
